To unlock or reset your MyCU PIN, you may use the self-service tools available in MyProfile.
If you have forgotten any part of your log in information for any of the Concordia University Network resources, or if you are seeking that information for the first time, you can retrieve your login information through the MyProfile Control Panel.
Find your MyCU PIN using the MyProfile tool
- Navigate to MyProfile account management tool (
https://myprofile.cu-portland.edu/
) - At the bottom of the screen, locate the Need Help box.
- Choose Retrieve MyCU ID/PIN.
- From the MyProfile Authentication Page, click the radio button next to E-mail Address and enter your email address in the text field.
Must be lower-case! (Eg.youremail@email.com
) - Then, click the Next Step! button to proceed.
- Your email addresses on file in your MyCU records will be partially displayed.
- Click the radio button next to the displayed email address you prefer and have access to.
- Click the button to Send Auth Code.
- This will trigger an authentication confirmation email message to your email address chosen.
- Navigate to your email account selected in the previous step.
- In the email, you will see a long hyperlink. Click this link to finish the authentication process.
- Clicking the link in your email to finish authentication process will take you back to the MyProfile account management tool, to the MyProfile Control Panel.
- Once you are on the MyProfile Control Panel, click Reset MyCU PIN

- On the Reset MyCU Banner PIN page, your new MyCU PIN will be displayed.
- PINs and passwords are different for MyCU!
- You need your PIN, not a "password"!
- 🛑 Record this PIN in a safe location 🛑
- With your new PIN written down, head over to
https://mycu.cu-portland.edu/
. - Click the link to Enter Secure Area.
- Enter your G# in the User ID field
- Type your new PIN into the system manually to ensure success.
- Click the Login button to proceed.
- If prompted to update your PIN due to expiration, enter the PIN you just retrieved above (see step #13) into the Re-enter Old PIN field.
Pro-Tips
- Remove any saved PINs for your MyCU in your Chrome/Firefox saved passwords.
- Reusing a previous PIN will cause your account to lock and be unavailable again.
- Confirm the PIN entered is the correct PIN and not a PIN saved in your browser's saved passwords.
- This is a common issue and causes locked accounts.
- Type your new PIN into the system manually to ensure success.
Unlock / Reset your MyCU PIN with MyProfile
- Visit MyProfile and sign in.
- If unable to sign in, follow Retrieve Username/Password.
Unlock your PIN with MyProfile
If your MyCU PIN is locked due to too many failed attempts, you can unlock your MyCU PIN using the self-service tools in MyProfile.
- Complete the steps in the previous section to authenticate yourself into the MyProfile account management tool.
- Once you have authenticated into MyProfile, you will land on the MyProfile Control Panel.
- To unlock your MyCU account, click Unlock MyCU PIN.
- This will unlock your PIN and allow you to reset and retrieve your new MyCU PIN to access MyCU.
- Click Return to MyProfile Control Panel to proceed to the reset and retrieval steps.
Reset your PIN with MyProfile
Use this process to get your first-time temporary PIN for MyCU, or reset your PIN. If you have locked yourself out of MyCU, you may need to unlock your PIN before you can reset your PIN.
- Complete the steps in the previous section to authenticate yourself into the MyProfile account management tool.
- Once you have authenticated into MyProfile, you will land on the MyProfile Control Panel.
- Inside the MyProfile Control Panel, click the link to Reset MyCU PIN.
- On the Reset MyCU Banner PIN page, your new MyCU PIN will be displayed.
- Record this in a safe location.
Access MyCU with your PIN
- Navigate to https://mycu.cu-portland.edu
- Enter your User ID (your CUP G#, with uppercase 'G')
- Enter your new PIN.
- Click Login.
- If you are successfully logged in, you will see the Enter Secure Area link to navigate into MyCU Self-Service tools.
View / Change Information
Once you have either logged in or used the recovery methods to access the MyProfile Control Panel, you will be able to
- View your username and student ID number (G#),
- Reset your Network password, and
- Reset your MyCU PIN.
- The option to reset your PIN is in red.
