In this article we will go over how to print using either a Concordia Issued computer or campus computer. If you're a student and would like to print using your personal laptop, we recommend using the the web portal.
If you need to print from your personal computer while you are on campus, there are a few different printers you can use. Here's how you install them on your PC: first install Papercut, then connect to a printer.
Now that you have the PaperCut Client running and have connected to our print server, you should now be able to print using whatever program it is you need. Follow the steps below to see the process of printing from MS Word.
- Print your documents as normal.
- After you click to print your document, you will see a window similar to this appear on your screen. This is part of PaperCut and summarizes your print job, and potential costs.
- Note: if you cancel your print job through the PaperCut window, you will still see the Microsoft notification appear on your computer. Your document will not print, and your account will not be charged.
- PaperCut also allows you to choose which department you want your print job to be billed to. This will only appear if you are in more than one print group, but will be a particularly useful tool for student workers and faculty that need to charge jobs to a special work account instead of their personal account.
