The computer networking structure in the ELS Ainsworth Building is not part of the Concordia University Network System. Wireless and other networking procedures should be treated by Concordia constituents as a public access system, and proper antivirus/antispyware procedures should be followed by anyone using this system. Concordia University is not responsible for loss, damage or mis-use on this network. Some things to keep in mind while using the ELS Ainsworth Building network:
- Make sure antivirus/antispyware software is up-to-date. For their personal Windows and Mac computers, Concordia University faculty, staff and students have access to Sophos Home Antivirus, which can be downloaded from here.
- The wireless network in the ELS Ainsworth Building is not protected, and requires no access key. This means anyone can access this network, and utilize it as they see fit. This includes non-Concordia constituents.
- Concordia constituents wishing to access the Concordia Network can do so via the Concordia VPN client. This client can be downloaded from here.
