Users have the ability to customize which notifications are viewed for all courses. These notifications can be managed within the activity stream.
Your notifications will be on by default, and may include a daily digest email, or per instance alerts sent.
To reduce the frequency of the emails and alerts, customize these in the Activity Stream or in your settings.
On the Activity Stream tab, click the gear icon ⚙ in the upper-right corner and adjust your notifications as desired.
More information on notification settings is available from the resources below.
Change your notifications
You may receive old notifications for artifacts in your course. If you have questions about a notification message you received from Blackboard, confirm with your instructor who can route any potential issue to the correct contacts.
Orientation: If you are receiving alerts from student orientation, this is being investigated and these messages can be disregarded at this time.
If you are receiving notifications you no longer want to receive, or you would like to adjust the frequency, etc., you can change your notifications on a global (site-wide) basis.
- Click on the Activity Stream located in the left sidebar.
- Click on the gear icon in the top left corner of the page.
- This will open up the Notification Settings.
- Here, you have the option to adjust your Stream Notifications, Email Notifications, and Push Notifications.
You can also access your notification settings by clicking the link in the notification emails you receive. This link is at the bottom of each message.
The video below will walk you through setting your notifications in the Activity Stream.
